TRANSPARENT CORRECTIONS

Corrections Policy

When a verifiable error is identified, we aim to disclose the nature and timing of the correction rather than silently changing the record.

01

Review

A request is reviewed against primary sources and the published record. Differences of opinion are distinguished from factual errors.

02

Correction format

Material errors are corrected on the relevant page, the update date is refreshed and a correction note is added where appropriate. Minor typographical edits may not receive a separate notice.

03

Market data

A temporary provider outage or delay does not necessarily mean historical data was wrong. Source, timestamp, symbol and unit are reviewed together.
