Is DenizBank's retiree promotion TRY 30,000? The base amount tops out at TRY 12,000

TRY 30,000 is not an unconditional payment to every retiree. In the highest pension tier, a TRY 12,000 base award is supplemented by up to TRY 18,000 tied to an overdraft, two automatic bill mandates and an actively used credit card.

Three critical developments

  1. The offer runs through September 30, 2026 for retirees opening a new account and committing their pension for three years, plus existing customers whose commitment expires during the campaign.
  2. In the top pension tier, the base payment is TRY 12,000; reaching TRY 30,000 requires TRY 2,000 for an overdraft, TRY 8,000 for two bill mandates and TRY 8,000 for active card use.
  3. If the pension or add-on products are moved or cancelled within three years, the bank may reclaim the relevant payment pro rata for the remaining time.

The total is the maximum available only when all add-on products are approved and their conditions remain satisfied.

QUICK ANSWER · How much is DenizBank's pension promotion?

The base promotion ranges from TRY 5,000 to TRY 12,000 by monthly pension. TRY 30,000 is the maximum only for a retiree receiving at least TRY 20,000 a month who meets all three add-on product conditions. The maximum is TRY 27,000 for a pension of TRY 15,000–19,999, TRY 24,000 for TRY 10,000–14,999 and TRY 20,000 below TRY 10,000. Applications close September 30, 2026.

Who is eligible?

According to DenizBank's official terms, the campaign covers retirees who open a new account between June 11 and September 30, 2026 and commit to receiving their pension at the bank for three years, plus existing customers whose current three-year commitment expires during the campaign. Applications are available through branches or the call centre; a transfer can be started through MobilDeniz or e-Devlet. The bank says payment follows within two business days after the first pension reaches the account.

How does TRY 30,000 add up?

For a monthly pension of TRY 20,000 or more, the base award is TRY 12,000. A TRY 2,000 overdraft award, TRY 8,000 for two automatic bill mandates and TRY 8,000 for active use of the primary credit card bring add-ons to TRY 18,000 and the maximum total to TRY 30,000. In lower pension tiers, the overdraft and card awards stay the same while the base and bill-mandate awards fall, so the table must be read by pension band.

Why is TRY 30,000 not unconditional?

In the top tier, 40% of the headline maximum is the base promotion and 60% comes from linked-product awards. Opening an overdraft and credit card is subject to bank approval. The primary card must be used for at least one purchase every month during the campaign, while three months without payment through the two bill mandates can trigger a clawback. Comparing only maximum totals hides the product obligations and maintenance conditions.

Monthly equivalent and early exit

Simply spreading the TRY 30,000 maximum over 36 months gives about TRY 833 per month; the TRY 12,000 base equals about TRY 333 per month. Neither is an interest rate or investment return. To illustrate time only, assume a customer leaves 12 months after payment and the refund is linear: roughly TRY 20,000 of TRY 30,000 would be reclaimed, leaving TRY 10,000. The bank applies a daily pro-rata method, so actual payment and cancellation dates determine the amount.

Interest, fees, tax and product costs

The promotion page does not state a tax or fee deduction from the award. Using an overdraft can nonetheless incur interest and statutory taxes; carrying a card balance, paying late or using paid services may create costs under separate agreements and tariffs. This analysis assumes no interest on an unused facility and does not calculate personalised card or overdraft costs. The economic value of the promotion falls if a customer borrows or spends solely to qualify.

METHOD AND LIMITATIONS · What was not compared?

This page answers the DenizBank query rising on September 15 and structures only the bank's published conditions. It does not name a 'best bank' because temporary offers at every bank were not verified at the same time and under one method. Credit eligibility, an existing pension block or debt, aggregated pensions and personal product tariffs can change the outcome. If the bank changes its terms before the deadline, the official campaign page controls.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR MY MONEY?

Start with the base amount in your pension band, then mark only the add-on products you will genuinely use. If opening an overdraft or card solely for the award, review its limit, interest, fees and cancellation terms. Check that two bills can be paid without interruption, remember the card's monthly transaction requirement, and include any refund owed to your current bank. Do not choose from the headline maximum alone. This is not financial advice.
